Frequently Asked Questions
Is liquid limestone as strong as exposed or honed aggregate?
Liquid limestone is perfect for pedestrian areas and driveways but is not MPa rated so not suitable for a slab that needs to take a great deal of weight such as a shed pad or house slab for example.
Does liquid limestone stain?
Liquid limestone is a natural product that is porous. Whilst it is sealed on installation (and should be sealed every 2 to 3 years after) it will stain if installed under trees that drop leaves, general spillages, or in an area with no sunlight. Regular maintenance is required to keep that perfect finish.
Can liquid limestone crack?
Yes. There is never any guarantee it will not crack, but with the correct installation and finishing it certainly reduces the chances of this occurring. Liquid limestone should be installed on galvanised mesh, with ground compaction and should still have control joints cut through the slab.
